Excellent first time pass rate
If you are like most learner drivers, then you probably believe that it is normal to fail a driving test the first time. Although it is true that some people fail, many more tend to pass. In fact, according to statistics, you have a higher chance of passing your driving test the first time. Failing a driving test is disappointing, both financially and emotionally, and it will cost more time and money to prepare for another test. If you want to get the training that truly prepares you for a first time pass, Smart Drive UK is the place to be. It is our pleasure to announce that we have some of the best first time pass rates across the UK.

What type of car will I be learning in?
We have students who only want to learn how to drive in automatic vehicles, just as there are others who prefer to learn in only manual vehicles. We can cater to both groups, so the choice ultimately comes down to you. Your choice will work well, regardless of what you need it for, because both manual cars and automatic are common on UK roads. Can’t work out the best option for you based on your requirements? Why don’t you discuss them with us, and we can help you make a decision. (please note automatic cars are subject to availability). We are waiting by the phone for you.
Is it possible to start my driving lessons before I have passed the theory test?
The common belief with the general public is that you should pass the theory test before you set out to take practical driving classes. There is nothing wrong with this, as it makes sense to understand how a car works before you get into the driver’s seat. As experts in the industry, however, we know that it is best to combine both theoretical and practical training. With this, you can immediately see how the things you have learnt in theory can work in practice. In addition, someone that is already experienced in driving lessons will have a higher chance of success when it is time for the theory test.
What is the duration of each lesson?
We know you’d like to better plan your day, so you’ll want to find out how long it will take you to complete a lesson. The length of time it will take to complete one lesson is dependent on your learning ability and how the teacher chooses to deliver the lesson. With our system of training, and the way we have structured our courses, however, you can expect to spend around two hours in a session. Want a quicker or slower training schedule? Call us right away to discuss your options.
How often should I have my driving lessons?
We all have different schedules. However, it is best if a learner driver gets at least two hours of driving training every week. You can decide to keep this schedule if it suits you. Or you can opt for a more flexible schedule, which we’ll be more than happy to accommodate. For instance, we can provide you back to back training that’ll get you sufficiently prepared for your driving test sooner. Regardless of your schedule, we can put together a programme that best suits your needs.
Please fill free to call us on 08450 179 778 or Text/Call on 07760 767170.
Can I have lessons in my own car?
Many individuals prefer driving lessons being received in their own car. We are amenable to this because we believe training with your own car can be helpful if you intend on taking the driving test with that same car. It’s also possible that you just got the car and are looking to familiarise yourself with it. Regardless of what your motive might be, Smart Drive UK can deliver driving lessons in your own car. But we can only provide this service if your car is insured, roadworthy, and registered. Our instructors will need to inspect the car to check for valid registration, and may be required to notify your insurance company that the car will be used for driving lessons.
Can I have more than one lesson a week?
We can provide you multiple lessons per week if your busy schedule permits it. At Smart Drive UK, we have both fixed and flexible schedules that can accommodate everyone. If you prefer multiple lessons every week to speed up your learning process, we can deliver. Our aim is to have you master driving at your own pace and be ready to ace your driving test the first time you take it. Our impressive first time pass rate is a clear sign of our capability to make you a roadworthy driver within your preferred time frame.

What is Pass Plus?
The Pass Plus scheme is targeted at drivers in the UK who have recently successfully passed their driving test. Several new drivers shy away from driving on busy roads due to a lack of confidence. Fortunately, once your driving test has been passed, Smart Drive UK can be there for you by providing you everything you need to be a safe and confident driver on any road. Pass Plus training lets you leave your usual roads to experience other roads first hand, after your initial training has familiarised you with major road conditions. Interested in more information? New Hazard Perception Test
The Hazard Perception Test is essential for UK learner drivers looking to pass the driving theory exam. The test is mandatory and will determine if you are qualified for a full driver’s license The test consists of a number of videos which depict a typical road scene and a developing hazard. You need to respond appropriately to the developing hazard to pass the test. We have the expertise and materials at Smart Drive UK to ensure you pass your Hazard Perception Test, which comes before the practical driving test at the DVLA. Required tests you must pass before you are issued your license
Practice before the main test
Don’t fret about acing your driving test, as we have a solution to make it easier for you. Smart Drive UK helps you get ready for the DVLA driving test by providing mock theory test practice. Passing our practice test means you can pass the DVLA theory practice test, which comes before the actual theory test.
Driving Test Leyton
You are required to pass the official DVLA driving test before you can obtain your driver’s license. Taking any of our driving courses is certain to equip you with the knowledge required to sail through the test the first time. The hundreds of customers who have used our service and passed the test the first time provide sufficient evidence that our courses are designed to deliver results.
Make a test booking
What is the process of booking a test like?
The best way to book your driving test is to do so through the official Gov.UK website. Booking through a third-party website can end up costing you more. You should only book your driving test if you have already passed the hazard perception test and the theory test. Not clear enough? You don’t have to worry too much, because our instructors at Smart Drive UK will be on hand to guide you through it all.
How long do the tests take?
For the driving test to be completed, you have to complete five steps, including vehicle reversing, independent driving, safety questions, driving ability, and an eyesight check. Both automatic and manual transmission is given the same treatment during testing. The driving test takes less than an hour, specifically 40 minutes.
It’s test day, now what?
Once you have showed your provisional license and theory test certificate, you will be asked to read the digits of a license plate a few feet away to prove you have good eyesight. If you pass this stage, you will be asked a series of ‘show and tell’ questions by the examiner to demonstrate your knowledge. After this stage, you are required to prove to the examiner that you can successfully complete a reversing manoeuvre, plus drive safely and effectively on different types of roads. You will have to drive without guidance for about 20 minutes, in which the examiner may ask you to stop to test your ability to manage an emergency. The driving test will last around 40 minutes. Remember that while the practical driving test can be nerve-racking, all you will be asked to do has already been covered as you went through your driving course.
What follows after the test?
Obtaining a full driving license
Well done on getting through your practical driving test. You can now proceed to the next step, which is to apply for a proper driving license. Once the results of your practical driving test are sent to the DVLA, your license will be processed. You should receive your license no later than three weeks after passing the practical driving test. Our representatives at Smart Drive UK are always ready to provide guidance throughout the process of getting a driving license. Our job is only complete when you are officially a qualified and licensed driver.
