Is it possible to start my driving lessons before I have passed the theory test?

How long will it take before the tests are completed?
The practical driving test is broken into five parts: an eyesight check, safety questions, driving ability, vehicle reversing, and independent driving. The process is the same for both manual and automatic transmission. The actual driving test takes an average of 40 minutes to complete.
What you should expect on the day of the test.
First, you will have to show your theory test certificate and your provisional license, after which you will be required to read the number of a license plate some metres away, as a way to test your eyesight. Once the results of your practical driving test are sent to the DVLA, your license will be processed. Your driving license should get to you no later than three weeks after passing the practical driving test.
