What type of car will I be learning in?
We know that there are many students that want to learn how to drive in manual cars, and there are also those that prefer automatic transmission. You will have the freedom to choose what car you’d like to learn in, as we have both manual and automatic cars. Your choice will work well, regardless of what you need it for, because both manual cars and automatic are common on UK roads. Not sure which option to go with? Can I begin my driving lessons before I have passed the theory test?
You will generally be advised to hold on your practical driving lessons until you have passed your theory test. This system has it benefits, as you will then know enough about using a car before getting behind the wheel. One thing we have learnt in our experience here at Smart Drive UK, however, is that combining theoretical and practical training is always the best bet. This way, you can bring what you learnt in theory practice and see how it works practically. Also, you will be better prepared for the theory test when you have started your driving lessons.

What is the length of time for each lesson?
We know it is important for you to know the duration of each lesson, so as to better plan your day. Your assimilation speed and how the teacher chooses to deliver the lesson are the major determinants in the duration of each lesson. However, our skilled instructors, and well-packaged training system, is such that an average of two hours each day for instruction and practice is sufficient. Can I have lessons in my own car?
You may prefer to undergo your driving training behind the wheel of your own car. This could be a great idea, especially if you intend on using your car to take the driving test.
