Understanding the Isle-of-Wight driver training Journey
You are required to pass the DVSA Approved Driving Instructor exam before you can be a driving tutor in the UK. The exam is done in 3 parts. The first part tests your hazard perception via a multiple choice questions. The first part of the test is similar to the one that those seeking their driving license have to pass, but it is a more difficult version. The part two of the exam involves a more difficult version of the one that those seeking their driver license have to pass. The third part of the test assesses your ability to actually coach and tutor. The examiner assesses the student at this stage, and you get to demonstrate your ability to demonstrate lesson planning, risk management and teaching and learning strategies. The exam is tough and demanding, as is to be expected.
