What to Expect from our driver training in Wales
You have to pass the DVSA Approved Driving Instructor exam to be legally permitted to be a driving tutor in the UK. The exam is done in 3 parts. The first part of the exam that deals with hazard perception is a multiple choice exam. This part of the test is a tougher version of the one new drivers take to get their license. Part two of the test is a practical driving test that is also similar to the one that those seeking their driving license take, but this one is tougher. The part three of the test is where you get to prove that you can actually teach and coach. At this stage, the examiner will be assessing you on your ability to demonstrate lesson planning, risk management and teaching and learning strategies. It’s a tough and challenging exam, as you can expect.
