What the Smart Drive driver training programme in Sussex entails
You have to pass the DVSA Approved Driving Instructor exam, to become eligible to teach driving in the UK. The exam is done in 3 parts. The first part of the exam that deals with hazard perception is a multiple choice exam. The first part of the test is similar to the ones that learner drivers take but it is tougher. The part two is a practical driving test that is tougher than the one students take to earn their driving license. In part three of the test, your ability to tutor and instruct is tested.
