The Northleach driver training experience with Smart Drive
You have to pass the DVSA Approved Driving Instructor exam to be legally permitted to be a driving tutor in the UK. The exam is done in 3 parts. Part one of the test is a multiple choice question that tests your hazard perception ability. The first part of the test is similar to the one that those seeking their driving license have to pass, but it is a more difficult version. The part two of the test is a tougher practical driving test compared to the one that those applying for a driving license take. The part three of the test is where you get to prove that you can actually teach and coach. Here, the examiner assesses the student after you have demonstrated your ability to demonstrate lesson planning, risk management and teaching and learning strategies. The exam is challenging, as you would expect.
